About Nurture Bodyworks
"My passion is helping people feel better in their bodies and lives."
Kim Achelis-Hoggan, LMT, E-RYT500

I love living an active life and having the energy to keep up with my kids. From both personal experience and years of practice, I’ve learned that mobility and self-care are essential for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Since 2006, I’ve dedicated my work to helping clients live healthy, active lives. My path began in yoga, where I studied multiple traditions including Anusara, Iyengar, Kundalini, and Vinyasa, and evolved to include massage therapy, specializing in assisted stretch, Thai massage, and deep, specific pressure work.

After years of focusing on flexibility and release, I learned from personal experience that lasting change comes from working with the nervous system, not against it. A car accident in 2020 deepened this understanding and inspired me to study with the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), which continues to influence how I see alignment, breath, and movement.

Today, I integrate everything I’ve learned across yoga, massage, and PRI to help clients find balance through awareness, breath, and movement. My sessions combine manual and movement-based approaches to restore ease, coordination, and confidence in how the body functions.

Whether through massage, PRI-inspired movement, or yoga, my goal is to help you reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm and feel supported in living a vibrant, grounded life.

Education + Experience
A lifelong student of movement, breath, and the body
I began teaching yoga in 2006 and founded Authentic Self Yoga, where I shared alignment-based practices that focused on awareness, strength, and heart.

In 2010, I expanded my work to include massage therapy and Thai bodywork, blending movement and touch to help people connect more deeply to their bodies.
For years I taught and practiced out of various studios, until 2020 when I founded Nurture Bodyworks—a space devoted to one-on-one work and nervous-system-informed care.

In 2022, I discovered the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), and it became the missing link that tied everything together.

Through PRI, I began to understand asymmetry, breath, and alignment in a completely new way—and how real balance comes from the body’s ability to alternate, adapt, and feel safe.

Teaching + Facilitation

Since 2006, I’ve taught thousands of classes, teacher trainings, and workshops—from Anusara and Kundalini yoga to fascia-focused self-care and PRI-informed movement.
I currently teach weekly yoga and meditation at Momentum and Sunne Yoga, and coach with Grow Sesh, supporting clients who want to move and feel better through awareness, breath, and function.
Recent offerings include:
-
Step Into September – a walking series for rhythm and awareness
-
Step Into Ski Season – PRI-based prep for winter movement
-
Getting Out of Fight-or-Flight – an introduction to Postural Restoration

Current Focus

Today, my work integrates everything I’ve studied—yoga, massage, Thai bodywork, and Postural Restoration—into one cohesive approach that helps people feel balanced, grounded, and capable in their bodies.
My focus is simple: helping you restore ease, confidence, and connection from the inside out.
