About Nurture Bodyworks

"My passion is helping people feel better in their bodies and souls."

Kim Achelis-Hoggan, LMT, E-RYT500

I love living an active life and having the energy to keep up with my kids. I know from personal experience that mobility and self-care are essential for physical mental and emotional well being.

Since 2006, I have dedicated my work to helping my clients live healthy and active lives. I have studied numerous massage modalities and trained in multiple yoga disciplines so I can help my clients pursue their goals.

I started my yoga journey to help me recover from multiple injuries I got from competing in snowboarding. I earned my first teaching certification in 2006. I have received more than 2,000 hours of training, am a yoga teacher trainer, and hold certifications in Anusara, Iyengar, Kundalini, and Vinyasa yoga.

My passion for helping others grew through teaching yoga and led me to become a licensed massage therapist in 2011. I have been trained in assisted stretch, deep tissue, sports, acupressure, Swedish, Shiatsu, Tuina and Thai massage.

In 2020, a car accident resulted in a broken foot, setting my body into a compensatory rotational pattern. As I recovered, I noticed the same pattern emerging in my clients' bodies during massages. Determined to understand and assist them better, I delved into studying the reasons behind these patterns. This led me to the Postural Restoration Institute and their courses, Myokinematic Restoration, Pelvis Restoration, Postural Respiration and Cervical Revolution. These courses aligned with my existing knowledge while providing valuable insights and tools to assess and support my clients even further.

Whether it's through massage, neuro-kinetic, yoga sessions, I am dedicated to supporting my clients in living healthy and active lives.
